Why did you decide to study Business Management?

I decided to study business management as my partner and I wanted to own a business soon

What level did you study?

I studied Level 4 and am now completing Level 5

What was your career goal when you started studying?

My goal was to own a business with my partner and be an owner-operated business.

What are some of the most valuable things you’ve learned?

I have learnt many things during the course, the most valuable being staff management and accounting. They play such big parts in having a successful business!

What do you enjoy about business management? 

I enjoy having a business where I work hard to achieve results.

What were the highlights of your time at Aspire2?

The tutors at Aspire2 are friendly and always available to help you.

How has studying business management helped enhance your career?

The program has enabled me to go into a business with the knowledge and skills required to be at my best.

Do you currently own a business? If so, what kind of business? If not, where are you working now?

I own Comics Compulsion Christchurch with my partner. We are open 7 days a week. I work Monday-Friday, with my partner joining me in the afternoons and we have 4 staff members to cover weekends.

What are your future goals?

My goals are to grow our store, have a wider variety of stock and provide a place for the community to hang out and enjoy board games, comics and table top games.

Disney and his team used 3 different roles to generate ideas and explore a project thoroughly; the dreamer, the realist and the critic.
